On the occasion of the show Métiers d’Art, which took place yesterday in Dallas, the première of Karl Lagerfeld’s latest film The Return was presented. Mademoiselle Coco was perfectly brought back to life by Gérardine Chaplin (Charlie’s daughter), and Lagerfeld took us right into the reopening of Gabrielle Chanel’s Parisian couture house in 1954. Karl Lagerfeld chose a drive-in cinema to view the movie: it was rather funny to see Anna Wintour sitting next to the Kaiser in the back of a cabriolet.

Then came the show, with U.S. prints that clearly referenced the Dallas countryside. The Métiers d’Art collection was an opportunity for Karl Lagerfeld to take his inspiration from a region and insert the Chanel codes in a spectacular way.
