From this up-coming 27th of September, The Royal Academy of Arts London will present the first major UK retrospective of German artist Anselm Kiefer (b. 1945), widely considered to be one of the most important artists of his generation.
This retrospective will showcase Kiefer’s fascination with history and the great masters from the past. It will recall the key themes and the diverse, personal iconography that Kiefer has created, spanning over 40 years from his early career to the present time.
The Highlights of this showcase will include paintings and photographs from Kiefer’s controversial Occupations and Heroic Symbols series and paintings from his Attic series.
This showcase was a result of a gathering of major loans from international privates and public collections alongside new works conceived specifically for the Royal Academy’s Main Galleries in this special occasion.
If you happen to be in the capital city of England at that time, please make sure that you will not miss out on such a special and rare occasion.
