Public School – Collection – Spring/Summer 2015 New York

Structured lines and sporty silhouettes at the label in Vogue Public SchoolThe label in vogue is Public School, and for many seasons now it’s become the show not to miss in New York. The two founding creators produced a collection which mixed structured lines with a combination of black and white, offsetting other pieces in the collection which featured fluid materials that were worn so beautifully. It was clear to see the new energy was equally shown by the live performance by George Lewis Jr. for Twin Shadow. Interview: Dao-Yi Chow: Music for us is a big, big inspiration, “Twin Shadow” who is the performer has scored all our music for all of our shows so eventually we knew we wanted to have some live component to it. Maxwell Osborne: This season was huge for us because this is the first time that we’ve introduced such a wide range of sweaters and prints and colours so it was a huge step out of our comfort zone to say the least, but we were really excited about the knitwear and the colours, and playing with the proportions of the dresses and introducing new dresses
