Issey Miyake is finally showing the Women Pre-Spring 2017 Collection and we are glad to discover it !
The collection is divided in three main parts all inspired by the different periods of Miyake’s work. The first one put on lights the symmetrical colorful patterns, reminding the Seventies with the mix of light blue, orange and black. The trench coat with the patterned borders matching with the socks is surely a masterpiece; as well as the allover printed coat, taking inspirations from ethnic designs. The multicutural mix of patterns, shapes and Miyake’s cuts create an ideal combination wich construct the silhouette.
The second part focuses on Miyake’s vision of a « performing fashion ». The clothes geometric aspects construct the body as well as the movements. In black, white and grey tones the geometric version of the Pleats Please wide coat takes place in this collection, while the black silky top compose the outfits. How can we not talk about the extraordinary pleated black, coppered-coloured dress? The fluidity of the dress resides in the numerous dark pleats enhance by the lighter ones, which create this particular shape.
The last part revolves around the white, beige and lighter tones, unified in simple shapes inspired both by Japanese designs and a Fifties look. The round-collar white and beige jacket elegantely match with the drapped pants, and the oversized white shirt is the only piece needed to create a flawless feminine look.
For the accessories, nothing too much as always, the geometric bags and the round pleated one are completing the overall look. The flat shoes in black and white, or the black and silvered revisited Louis XV ones, are bringing a simple modern touch.
