When we speak about Juun.J’s fashion, there is something undefineable about the way the South-Korean designer undertakes and redefines Menswear codes. Juun.J’s SS17 collection <Covered> is inspired by the gravity suits that were worn by combat pilots in the 50’s. The SS17 Collection footage is a VR video shot in 360 degrees, which allows the viewers to experience the vivid atmosphere of the fashion show.
The presentation took place on Friday, June 24th at Palais de Tokyo in Paris. The lucky ones who could assist to the Collection’s presentation were invited to discoverJuun.J SS17 Collection which began with the thoughts concerning how to reinterpret familiarly seen military items into new looks. As said before, this collection, inspired by the 1950’s fighter pilot’s G-SUIT (Anti-Gravity Suit), reveals a fine, sporty yet futuristic military interpretation through Juun.J tailoring and its special silhouettes. Juun.J’s Covered collection has its own particular aesthetics, instead of being skin-exposed or revealed, the idea resided in the beauty of the perspectives of being covered or laid over.
Through the 360 degree shot, the VR Video shows everything about Juun.J’s collection this season from the 38 silhouettes shown on the runway to the 600 or so people in the audience. The three dimensional effect as if you were actually attending the show.
