Issey Miyake Autumn/Winter 2013/2014
Black and white, Prince de Galles prints and houndstooth mixes with the Issey Miyake touch and colors.
Winter will be colorful and lighthearted at Issey Miyake . As webs of pleated fabric with a tridimensional aspect tangles and offer a new perspective for this season, the geometric optical illusions are aplenty.
Colors are bright and the silhouettes are masculine, geometric elements dans pleated fabric are found on many pieces of garment.
Color-blocking makes a come-back at Issey Miyake and the layering of striped pants and monochrome ones add a dramatic effect to the whole outfit. The motion of the clothes is reinforced by this visual effect, as it seems to be decomposed.
Fur makes an appearance mid-show and is to be found on the sleeves and collars but also on the coats and scarves.
Tailoring has taken a more important place compared to the designer’s previous collections and the silhouettes appear to be more fitted and slick than usual, making a contrast with the dramatic volumes of the pleated floor length skirts and pants.
