Roksanda – London Fashion Week AW21

ROKSANDA AW21 collection is presented through an intimate film captures the private and tender moments between 3 generations of incredible actresses within the same family during lockdown. Vanessa Redgrave, Joely Richardson and Daisy Bevan opened the doors of their home in the countryside to showcase the collection, sharing a series of tender and fleeting moments.

Due to lockdown, all scenes were captured via iPhone by Joely Richardson, Daisy Bevan and Roksanda Ilincic.

The collection itself is quite energising and celebrates optimism via beautiful prints and a rich colour palette of vibrant reds, sunflower orange and celadon, combined with softer hues.

Silhouettes are fluid, sometimes oversized, giving a feeling of comfort and easiness, but made very glamorous by the luxurious and shiny fabrics, from silk organza to moiré taffeta. Innovative high shine leather-look gloss is introduced through striking cut out summer dresses that imitate liquid metal rivulets running across exposed skin.

Slim fit trousers in tones of beech and ginger spliced with black, and high waisted, full volume trousers in lightweight wool continue the story.

Handcrafted details are once again subtly incorporated throughout the collection, with a focus on cotton silhouettes which have all been sustainably produced.
