Pringle of Scotland A/W11 - Неделя моды в Лондоне
Over the years, Claire Waight Keller has turned Pringle of Scotland from a knitwear label to a luxury ready-to-wear brand. For this Autumn/Winter 2011-2012 collection, she found inspiration exploring the archives of the venerable house.
Despite a resolutely rock soundtrack that included the Rolling Stone’s Miss You, the collection was overall pretty classic, definitely revealing the Sixties and Seventies inspiration, but more on the bourgeoise side than rock or hippie. Softly flared trousers, vintage knot jacquards reworked in opposite scales, fringed jacquards like blanket wraps declined in cape, skirt and dress were the recurrent elements of the collection. The colour palette revolved around typical 70’s vintage colours, with hues of petrol blue, rusty, nutmeg and oxblood.
The highlights of this A/W 2011 collection were for me undeniably the silhouettes in black and oxblood, whether it be the stunning twisted wool coat or the leather see-through garments.
