To\u00a0promote the discussion around equal rights\u00a0actively,\u00a0Marimekko is\u00a0proud to be one of the platinum partners of the rainbow-colored culture and human rights event Helsinki Pride.\u00a0

Marimekko will once again issue some of Helsinki Pride\u2019s official products: a rainbow-colored edition of the company\u2019s classic\u00a0Tasaraita\u00a0(even stripe) t-shirt\u00a0as well as a scarf and socks in the same hues* will be available worldwide in June 2021.\u00a0\u00a0
The Tasaraita print was born in 1968 when Marimekko designer Annika Rimala wanted to create a collection of cotton jersey clothes suitable for everyone irrespective of age, size or gender expression. Still today, this stripy classic is Marimekko\u2019s symbol of equality.

The traditional Pride parade is organized virtually this summer and will spread all over Finland.
The parade opened with Pride Week starting on\u00a0June 28th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
