The event was highlighted by the presence of Gwyneth Paltrow and various international celebrities.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.luxsure.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/fck.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.luxsure.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/fck-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Geneve, 17 january 2011: Baume et Mercier event \/ G. Paltrow\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-18717\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThe ocean in Switzerland<br \/>\nTo mark the start of a new chapter in its 180-year history, Baume &#038; Mercier invited 950 guests to a garden party on the beach to echo its new Brand universe: seaside living in the Hamptons.<br \/>\n75 tons of sand, 800 square meters of grass, and 7,000 hours of work were needed to create this magical atmosphere between earth and sea.<br \/>\nImagine monumental sand sculptures, the sound of waves, guests enjoying themselves on the wooden deck and then on the dance floor.<br \/>\nThe evening unfolded with moments of pure emotion and the simple joy of celebration.<br \/>\nSea, sun and stars<br \/>\nAttending the event were\u2026<br \/>\nBaume &#038; Mercier\u2019s new ambassador American actress Gwyneth Paltrow.<br \/>\nShe made her acting debut on stage in 1990 and began appearing in films in 1991, gaining earlynotice for her work in films such as Se7en and Emma. She garnered worldwide recognition through her performance in Shakespeare in Love (1998), for which she won an Academy Award for Best Actress, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards, for Outstanding Lead Actress and as a member of the Outstanding Cast. She is now starting a career as a singer.<br \/>\n\u201cThe motto of Baume &#038; Mercier, \u2018Life is about moments\u2019, very much reflects my personal philosophy of life.
