{"id":62579,"date":"2009-12-11T22:58:15","date_gmt":"2009-12-11T21:58:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.luxsure.fr\/?p=3762"},"modified":"2009-12-11T22:58:15","modified_gmt":"2009-12-11T21:58:15","slug":"british-fashion-awards-and-the-winners-are","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/luxsure.com\/blog\/2009\/12\/11\/british-fashion-awards-and-the-winners-are\/","title":{"rendered":"British Fashion Awards &#8211; And The Winners Are&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-3763\" src=\"http:\/\/www.luxsure.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/12756-150x145.jpg\" alt=\"Christopher Bailey\" width=\"150\" height=\"145\" \/>As announced, the\u00a0British Fashion Awards 2009, supported by Swarovski, took place\u00a0earlier this week at The Royal Courts of Justice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Marking the culmination of the 25 years of British Fashion Week&#8217;s celebrations, the ceremony saw Burberry&#8217;s David Bailey win\u00a0the Designer of the Year Award &#8211; Burberry\u00a0was also\u00a0awarded the Designer Brand accolade, whereas Grace Coddington received the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion\u00a0Creator.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-3765\" src=\"http:\/\/www.luxsure.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/12767.jpg\" alt=\"John Galliano\" width=\"181\" height=\"84\" \/>The British Fashion Council recognised John Galliano as the designer who, throughout\u00a0his carrier,\u00a0has made\u00a0a great impact on the industry internationally and awarded him the\u00a0BFC Outstanding \u00a0Achievement in Fashion.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Christopher Kane received the BFC British Collection of the Year, rewarding a British based designer whose collections have directed the shape of fashion and helped them develop as an international force in the fashion industry.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-3766\" src=\"http:\/\/www.luxsure.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/12763-150x145.jpg\" alt=\"Holly Fulton\" width=\"114\" height=\"96\" \/>Other winners include Holly Fulton and Peter Pilotto in the Emerging Talents category, it-girl Georgia Jagger as Model of the Year, Katie Hillier\u00a0in Accessories Designer and Kim Jones (for Dunhill) in Menswear Designer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-3767\" src=\"http:\/\/www.luxsure.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2009\/12\/12758-150x145.jpg\" alt=\"Kate Moss &#038; Vivienne Westwood\" width=\"150\" height=\"145\" \/>And last but not least, the highly expected London 25,\u00a0entirely decided by public vote,\u00a0was to reward an individual who embodies the spirit of London and is an international ambassador for London as a leading creative fashion capital.
