The Diriyah street circuit, set at a UNESCO World Heritage site, will host the championship\u2019s first night races under floodlights on Feb. 26-27.<br \/>For Nissan, the all-electric street racing championship brings the excitement and fun of zero-emission electric cars to a global audience. High-performance electric vehicles are a key part of Nissan\u2019s effort to accelerate the integration of electric vehicles into society.<br \/>\u201cMotorsports has always been the ultimate test and development environment for us,\u201d said Tommaso Volpe, Nissan\u2019s global motorsports director. \u201cThrough racing in Formula E, we continuously build our EV expertise and can reflect that in road cars for customers.\u201d<br \/>\u201cWe will arrive in Diriyah with confidence,\u201d said Volpe. \u201cWe took second in the teams championship in season six, and Seb and Oli showed great speed and consistency in the last rounds. We\u2019re excited to go racing again in season seven.\u201d<br \/>This season, the team is connecting its competitiveness in Formula E to Nissan\u2019s production EVs like never before. Newly for season seven, the team has named car #22 after Nissan\u2019s all-electric LEAF road car. Car #23 has been named after the Nissan Ariya all-electric crossover SUV, unveiled last July.<br \/>An exciting addition to the Nissan e.dams Formula E team for season seven is a new partner, DuPont, joining as a technical partner &lt;<a href=\"https:\/\/global.nissannews.com\/en\/releases\/release-47989bbc4ecd9d57a35f54c3f2093a1b-nissan-nismo-announce-2021-motorsports-programs\">global.nissannews.com\/en\/releases\/release-47989bbc4ecd9d57a35f54c3f2093a1b-nissan-nismo-announce-2021-motorsports-programs<\/a>&gt;. DuPont joins current team partners Shell, Richard Mille, LEMO and CFI.<br \/>Drivers Sebastien Buemi and Oliver Rowland are back behind the wheel for Nissan, following their successful season six campaign.<br \/>\u201cThe team worked hard at the preseason test in Valencia, completing 389 laps, and our season seven race car looks strong,\u201d said Olivier Driot, co-team principal of Nissan e.dams. \u201cSeb and Oli are racing for us together for a third season, and their impressive performance at the end of last season gives our team the self-belief to come out fighting in season seven.
