Earlier this month, Nina Naustdal Couture opened their first shop in London.
The shop itself looks like a gem, with black stone on the ground, dark and golden mirrors on the walls, creating the perfect environment for Nina Naustdal’s spectacular creations.
Inspired by the beauty of precious gems, the designer’s first collection is all about evening wear, with breathtaking cocktail dresses and long Italian silk dresses. All garments are covered with hundreds of Swarovski crystals, every single one having been put by hand. The silhouette is utterly feminine, declined in a colour palette referring directly to precious stones such as ruby, amethyst, sapphire and emerald.
The Norwegian designer, once a model, said about her creations: “As you are waiting for a diamond to be perfectly cut, my creations are trimmed with corsets and underwire to show the woman as a gift”.
On the first floor, the designer will receive her clients in a private salon, a resolutely modern yet cosy boudoir, decorated entirely in shades of white, contrasting with the shop on the ground floor.
