Wednesday night was the official press launch of London Jewellery Week 2011 (6th-12th June). Taking place in the heart of the très chic Royal Exchange and followed by a cocktail party, the evening offered an exciting preview of the glamorous events planned for London Jewellery Week.
A selection of jewellers participating in London Jewellery Week, such as Josef Koppmann, Shaun Leane, PureJewels, SWAROVSKI and others from Platform Gallery in Hatton Garden and Treasure, exhibited alongside Royal Exchange Jewellers.
A comprehensive diary of the week was also released with details about cornerstone events. Successfully relaunched in 2010, LJW is expected to offer this year an even bigger week of events and activities across the capital, with highlights like: Treasure, the contemporary jewellery show at the heart of London Jewellery Week; The Goldsmith’s Company Days of Knowledge Seminars; the launch of the Platinum Heritage Collection Sponsored by PureJewels and the annual Hatton Garden Festival.
Managing Director of London Jewellery Week, Della Tinsley commented ‘We are so pleased to see so many media and industry people here tonight. The schedule of events we’re announcing tonight is just the beginning. There are more events, activities and participants to be announced in the coming weeks. What’s clear is we’re on track for the best London Jewellery Week ever.’
The one virtue we now have to learn is patience – still five months to go!
