Mandy Coon, New York Fashion Week, FALL 2011
This collection began with an image of Coon’s mother circa 1979. Dressed in creamy turtleneck and hight waisted trousers, she was the definitation of quiet chic, the sort of woman you notice for her poise and elegance with just a touch of mistery. From here the collection blossomed into an exercise in clean precision and beauty inspired by the work of Man Ray and Helmut Newton.
