ANAMIKA KHANNA OPENS FDCI x LAKME FASHION WEEK

Leading Couture and Bridal Designer, *Anamika Khanna* opened *India’s FDCI x LAKME Fashion Week (LFW)* with her *Timeless the World Collection*. The heterogeneous textiles showcased in this couture runway collection pay homage to the multiple, intricate textile regions and demographics found across India. The contemporary silhouettes demonstrate evolving concepts for traditional wear for men and women. Khanna implements alternate draping techniques, allowing a lehenga structure to be unaccompanied by the traditional dupatta and slits to show off the legs, mixing traditional garments with western detailing. Her work is highly coveted, especially amongst Desi households worldwide, as she has dressed glamorous stars, like Sonam Kapoor, Samantha Akkineni, Madhuri Dixit, and the Kapoor Sisters.
